Social Community Terms of Service
Social Community Policy
Effective Date: April 26, 2026
This Social Community Policy ("Community Policy") sets the rules for participation in the social and community features of the ConnectHealthMD platform, including profiles, follows, groups, posts, comments, reactions, direct messages between users, reviews, and any related features (collectively, the "Community"). It applies to everyone who uses the Community - Patients, Professionals, Licensed Professionals, Vendors, Affiliates, and visitors.
This Community Policy is part of the agreement you have with ConnectHealthMD Corporation ("ConnectHealthMD," "we," "our," or "us") under our general Terms of Service and supplements that agreement. By participating in the Community, you agree to follow this Community Policy.
Our goal is a Community that supports honest, respectful, health-curious conversation while protecting users - especially Patients - from harm.
1. ConnectHealthMD Is a Marketplace, Not a Healthcare Provider
ConnectHealthMD is a marketplace - we are not a healthcare provider in any way, shape, or form. Posts, comments, group discussions, and direct messages in the Community are user-generated content. They are not medical advice, not endorsed by ConnectHealthMD, and not a substitute for an evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional. In a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Do not use the Community for emergencies.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to participate, except that minors may participate where their account is created and supervised by a parent or legal guardian on their behalf, in accordance with our Terms of Service. You must comply with all applicable laws and these Community rules.
3. What You Can Do in the Community
- Share your own health journey, experiences, and lessons learned;
- Ask questions in good faith and offer support to others;
- Discuss general wellness, lifestyle, and product experiences;
- Recommend Licensed Professionals, Professionals, or Vendors that you have actually engaged with on the Platform;
- Provide feedback to ConnectHealthMD about Community features.
4. What You Cannot Do in the Community
The following are prohibited and will be removed and may result in suspension, termination, and other consequences:
4.1 Practice of Medicine, Pharmacy, or Other Licensed Profession
- Diagnosing, treating, or prescribing for other users, even informally;
- Selling, soliciting, or arranging for the sale of prescription drugs, controlled substances, regulated devices, or other items requiring licensure - all such transactions must occur through Platform marketplace features and through licensed Vendors and Licensed Professionals;
- Holding yourself out as a licensed professional when you are not, or practicing outside the scope or jurisdiction of any license you do hold.
4.2 Health Misinformation and Dangerous Advice
- Posting health or medical information that you know or should know is false or that contradicts well-established consensus from public-health authorities (for example, anti-vaccine misinformation, COVID misinformation that endangers users, "miracle cure" claims, fake cancer cures, dangerous fasting or detox protocols);
- Encouraging users to discontinue prescribed medication, refuse vaccination, or skip emergency care;
- Promoting unsubstantiated treatments for serious conditions (cancer, infectious disease, mental-health emergencies, etc.).
4.3 Privacy Violations and Health Information
- Posting other people's protected health information, photographs, or identifying details without their permission;
- Posting screenshots of telemedicine sessions, message threads, prescriptions, or appointment notes that identify another user;
- Doxxing or sharing private information (home address, phone number, family members, place of work) of another user;
- Encouraging others to harass or contact a specific person off-platform.
4.4 Sexual or Suggestive Content
- Posting sexually explicit content, sexually suggestive content, or content that is unsolicited and sexual in nature;
- Sending sexual or suggestive direct messages to a user who has not invited that content;
- Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors. Such content will be removed, the account will be terminated, and the matter reported to law enforcement and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by law.
4.5 Self-Harm, Suicide, and Eating Disorders
- Promoting, glorifying, or providing instructions for self-harm, suicide, or disordered eating;
- Sharing content that names or describes specific methods of self-harm or suicide;
- Pro-eating-disorder content (thinspo, fitspo for restriction, "pro-ana"/"pro-mia" content, body-checking content used to reinforce disorder).
If you are in crisis, please reach out to a crisis line in your country - in the United States, call or text 988. The Community is not a substitute for crisis support.
4.6 Hate, Harassment, and Threats
- Hate speech, slurs, or content that dehumanizes or attacks people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, chronic illness, age, or veteran status;
- Harassment, bullying, stalking, threats of violence, or repeated unwanted contact;
- Coordinated brigading, dogpiling, or pile-on behavior;
- Targeting a specific user with negative posts to retaliate for an honest review.
4.7 Spam, Scams, and Manipulation
- Spam, repetitive posting, mass DMs, or content designed to drive off-platform traffic;
- Scams, phishing, fraud, fake giveaways, or impersonation of ConnectHealthMD or its staff;
- Fake reviews, paid endorsements without disclosure, review trading, sock puppets, and coordinated inauthentic activity;
- Manipulation of votes, reactions, or rankings by technical means.
4.8 Illegal, Regulated, or Harmful Activity
- Promoting or facilitating illegal drug sales, illegal firearms sales, human trafficking, terrorism, or violent extremism;
- Promoting or facilitating violations of pharmacy law, controlled-substance law, or telemedicine law;
- Sharing copyrighted content you do not have rights to;
- Posting malware, exploit code, or content designed to disrupt systems or steal credentials.
4.9 Platform Misuse
- Circumventing Platform fees by directing transactions off-platform;
- Scraping, crawling, or systematically extracting data from the Community;
- Creating multiple accounts to evade suspensions or to manipulate the Community.
5. Reviews and Ratings
Reviews of Licensed Professionals, Professionals, or Vendors must be based on real, first-hand experiences. You may not:
- Submit fake, paid, or coerced reviews;
- Trade reviews with other users;
- Threaten or retaliate against users for honest reviews;
- Disclose other people's protected health information in a review.
ConnectHealthMD may remove reviews that violate these rules and may apply sanctions to the reviewing user, the reviewed user, or both, as appropriate.
6. Content License to ConnectHealthMD
You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting it, you grant ConnectHealthMD a worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid, sublicensable, transferable license, in perpetuity, to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting and presentation), display, distribute, perform, and create derivative works of your content for the purpose of operating, promoting, marketing, improving, and analyzing the Platform on any medium now known or later developed.
You agree that ConnectHealthMD owns the right in perpetuity to use any content uploaded or saved to our Platform for those purposes. This license survives the termination of your account and the deletion of any individual piece of content that other users have already interacted with (for example, a quote of your post in someone else's reply).
You represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to grant this license and that your content does not violate any law, contract, or third-party right.
7. Moderation and Enforcement
ConnectHealthMD may, at our discretion and without notice:
- Remove, edit, redact, or refuse content that we believe violates this Community Policy or any other policy or law;
- Restrict the visibility of content (for example, demote it in feeds, hide it from non-followers, or limit search exposure) - sometimes called "shadow banning";
- Lower the visibility, ranking, or recommendation placement of an account;
- Suspend or terminate accounts;
- Withhold payouts of accounts subject to investigation;
- Cooperate with law enforcement and other authorities.
ConnectHealthMD has the right to terminate any account for any reason with no notice. We will favor user health and safety over individual posting privileges when those come into conflict. We make no promise of reach, prominence, or specific moderation outcomes.
8. Reporting Violations
If you see a violation, please use the in-product reporting tools or email support@connecthealthmd.com with details. Reports help us moderate, but please do not engage with violators yourself - we will handle it.
If you believe content sexualizes, exploits, or endangers a minor, report it immediately and contact law enforcement. ConnectHealthMD reports such content to NCMEC as required by law.
9. Liability
The Community is provided "AS IS." ConnectHealthMD is not responsible for content posted by users; we are not liable for the consequences of relying on user-generated content; and we make no warranty about the accuracy, safety, or fitness of any post or recommendation. Your reliance on Community content is at your own risk.
You agree to indemnify and hold ConnectHealthMD harmless from any claim arising out of your participation in the Community, your content, or your violation of this Community Policy.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Community Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top. Your continued participation in the Community after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Community Policy.
